Tina Jones has been hairdressing for 15 years and is the owner of Take 2 Hair and Beauty Studio. Having been on numerous courses with companies such as WELLA, GHD, GOLDWELL, L’OREAL, VIDDAL SASSOON & TONI & GUY Tina has decided to devise her own courses using the knowledge she has received over the years and the training methods she knows works! Tina is also a MASTER COLOUR EXPERT for WELLA and is one of 150 accredited technicians in the UK. Being an MCE Tina is a regular visitor to the London Wella studios where she receives product information and gets to trial new products and ideas for Wella. As an MCE Tina is brought up to date on each season’s key looks and receives all the latest training with top international and celebrity stylists that WELLA provide.
Tina is keen to share her knowledge and help hairdressers think outside the box and give their customers the best care and advice, there’s more to being a good hairdresser than meets the eye! Tina is passionate about her work and her enthusiasm and willingness to share and learn from others is contagious!

INTRODUCTION TO COLOUR
Many hairdressers look at a title like this and think that this is a course for beginners but please believe me it’s not! The colour world is evolving all the time, whether you trained a year ago or 15 years ago technology and science have changed things dramatically!
On this course we go back to the beginning, we look at the effects colour has on your client and yourself. By the end of the second day you’ll understand how to achieve the correct colour for your client’s skin tone, hair condition and why it’s not just a simple 1 tint job these days! We also touch on refreshing techniques and different colour methods. Because I focus on WELLA products you will also get an in depth look at each product and where and why we use them.
On the second day you will need to bring along your own model to practice on but if this is not possible a sally head will be provided to you for a small extra charge.

COLOUR CORRECTION
Colour correction can be scary! But most clients need some form of colour correction, whether it’s a quick lightening technique or a mishmash of colours that need sorting. But it’s amazing how many of us just ignore a darkened area or uneven colour. The reason we’re hairdressers is because we’re meant to know how to correct these things. On this course we look at different types of colour correction, pre and post pigmenting, backing up colours and colour correction techniques and secrets! After this course I promise you’ll be more confident when a client’s hair needs correction!
This course is a 4 day course and will be split into 2 sections
On the second day you will need to bring along your own model to practice on but if this is not possible a sally head will be coloured with a correction needed and provided to you for a small extra charge.
CREATIVE COLOUR
On this course you will learn different colouring techniques and effects. The way a colour is placed and used can create a variety of different looks and helps to escape from the norm of one colour tints & foils. You will also learn to use your mix tones and enhance your clients colour.

CLASSIC CUTTING
Classic cutting is a course to help build on your current knowledge of the cutting world. On this course you will learn to enhance your skills and create beautiful bobs to long bouncy layers. We look at the current trends and how to create these looks. By the end of this course you’ll feel much more confident to produce the latest looks for your clientele.
This course is a 4 day course split into 2 sections
HOW TO MAKE YOUR COLOUR WORK FOR YOUR CUT
A COLOUR MAKES A CUT & A CUT MAKES A COLOUR”
If you don’t get one of these right it can change a good haircut into a bad one and visa versa. Learn with Tina how to produce a complete look the compliments one another and that gets your hairdressing skills noticed!
This course is a 2 day course but is split into 2 sections
DRESSING AND STYLING HAIR
Within this course we will look at different ways of styling hair, from blow drying techniques to hair up. Let’s get clients back through the door and booking in for special occasions! Party hair to casual day looks are covered in this particular course.
WEDDING HAIR
Let’s give our bridal parties a fresh new look! Brides look to us for inspiration and with photo shoots and catwalk work under her belt Tina has lots of glamorous and easy styles for you to learn! We can do more than barrel curls! Let’s get creative!
