Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you’ll want everything to go smoothly and to be perfect! Most of us have been planning and dreaming about our wedding day since we were little girls, we’ll already have a picture of what we want to look like on our special day and we at Take 2 are here to make your wishes and dreams come true!
No matter what your budget is, we can help!
We have a number of packages including all aspects of hair, beauty and photography!
The First Step:
When you first contact us regarding your wedding we will take a few details from you over the phone such as the date, location, and number of people in the bridal party and we will answer as many questions as we can for you. We then recommend for the Bride to be (if for hair and beauty only) or Bride to be and Groom (if for photography) to come down to the studio for an informal chat about your needs and budget if there is one. From this we then can discuss what we can offer you! Obviously if you are having both photography and hair and beauty with us then we can make 2 separate appointments for you as we are sure that you don’t want your groom knowing how you’re going to have your hair etc on the day! It’s all meant to be a surprise!
You are under no obligation to book your wedding with us then there and we completely understand that you will want to go away and discuss our meeting.
If you do decide to book us (which we hope you do!) then a 50% deposit will need to be paid in order to secure your package. Once this is paid we then can get you booked in for your hair and beauty trials! For photography it is also a 50% deposit and Sue will be on hand for any queries you may have and in touch with on the lead up to your wedding to make sure the shots that you require are achieved!
Hair and Beauty Trials
At Take 2 we pride ourselves on listening to each and every Bride’s individual needs. Your wedding day is the day you want to feel beautiful and special and we’ve just the team to help create a look just for you and your wedding!
We also take into consideration your dress, wedding theme, location and most of all your personality! We want you to feel comfortable with your look on the day, one thing we hear a lot from Brides is that they are nervous about all eyes being on them, so the last thing you want is to be walking down the aisle and not looking like you!
We generally recommend that you have your trial 4-6 weeks before your wedding date. Some Brides like to bring along a family member or close friend to help choose their look or maybe you want to have your hair and beauty trial on the same day as your bridesmaids? We recommend that at least one of your bridesmaids have a hair trial so that we can make sure that we are all happy with the completed look but we do recommend that if all bridesmaids are having make up that they all have a trial as everyone has different tone/texture of skin and we want to make sure we have everything with us needed on the day.
On the day of your hair trial we book out 1hr 30mins in each stylist’s column that is working on hair for the wedding. This allows us time to look at any pictures you have and ideas, from this we work as a team to create the perfect look! We usually try out a 2-3 different styles and photograph each look from all different angles. This gives us a record of the look you go for and also is nice for the bride or bridesmaids to have an all-round view of the different styles. If require further hair trials that is fine with us! If you are having make up with us for your wedding we recommend that you have this on the same day as your hair trial so you can get an idea of your overall look!
As an extra bonus and to make this an even more special occasion for you we will have some glasses of chilled bucks fizz waiting for you on arrival!
The Week of The Wedding
If you are having your hair coloured and cut, maybe a treatment applied to make sure it looks healthy and shiny we recommend that this is all done the week of the wedding so that it looks lovely and fresh!
*please note if you have never had your hair coloured with us before or have gone longer than 3 months without having your hair coloured with us, you will be required to have a tint patch test at least 48hrs beforehand.
If you choose to have one of our packages where you are having nails, eyelashes, waxing etc then we also will make sure this is all booked in for you for the week of the wedding! If you want to make this even more special then we can arrange Bucks fizz drinks (champagne is a small fee) and nibbles from an outside caterer (nibbles small extra charge).
Again this is another occasion when Sue can take some pictures to help create a small memento for you for a small extra charge.
On The Day
Most brides nowadays prefer to have the Take 2 team go to them rather than go to the salon on the day of the wedding, and that is fine with us! We find it’s a much more relaxing atmosphere for all the bridal party to have us go to you as that way there is no time restriction as we usually stay until the Bride is in her dress and we can attach the veil and touch up on make-up/hair.
If you would prefer to come to the salon though that is absolutely fine by us too and we can arrange champagne and nibbles for a small extra charge.
On the day the final balance will be due to be paid either by cash, cheque or card* (*if in the salon)
Photography on The Day
Depending on the package you go for Sue will make all arrangements with you for time of arrival at your required venue a few weeks before your wedding date. If you choose to have Sue with us to capture the build-up of you all getting ready then this can make a fantastic memento as these are the moments where nerves, excitement and tears are all on show!
We can also arrange for Sue to take some shots of your wedding hair and make-up trials! Again a lovely memento to look back on in years to come!
